Hapoel Tel Aviv Targets Maxi Kleber as EuroLeague Clubs Shuffle Rosters

Hapoel Tel Aviv has opened talks with veteran big man Maxi Kleber as the Israeli club looks to reinforce its frontcourt, Israeli outlet ONE reported. The 34-year-old German forward/center, listed at 6’10”, spent the past nine NBA seasons with the Mavericks and Lakers but has battled injuries and shooting struggles over the last two years.
According to BasketNews, Kleber began exploring EuroLeague options in late June and appears increasingly likely to continue his career overseas.

Luca Vildoza, a 6’3” point guard who appeared in seven games for the Bucks during the 2021-22 NBA season, signed a two-year deal with KK Partizan, the Serbian EuroLeague club announced. Since leaving Milwaukee, the Argentine guard has played for Crvena zvezda, Panathinaikos, Olympiacos and, most recently, Virtus Bologna.
Former NBA forward/center Kenneth Lofton Jr. has joined Hapoel Jerusalem. The 24-year-old spent the last two seasons in China with the Shanghai Sharks, earning CBA MVP honors in 2024-25 and helping the team capture the 2025-26 championship. Lofton previously logged NBA minutes with three different franchises.
Hapoel Jerusalem also added ex-NBA big man Devontae Cacok earlier this month. The 29-year-old, who saw NBA action from 2019 to 2022, played last season in Spain. Hapoel competes in both the EuroCup and Israel’s domestic league.
