The Memphis Grizzlies signed No. 3 overall pick Cameron Boozer to his rookie-scale contract on Monday, finalizing a four-year agreement projected at $53.8 million.
Grizzlies
Boozer, who captured AP National Player of the Year honors after averaging 22.5 points, 10.2 rebounds and 4.1 assists in his lone season at Duke, has continued that form in Summer League with 18.7 points, 5.7 rebounds and 4.0 assists on 62 percent shooting through three games.
Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers bolstered their wing rotation by agreeing to a one-year deal with free-agent Ziaire Williams, according to ESPN. Williams spent the past two seasons with Brooklyn, posting 10.2 points and 2.4 rebounds last year while earning minutes at multiple defensive spots.
The signing does not affect the Lakers’ pursuit of Golden State restricted free agent Jonathan Kuminga, who remains a priority target. In a separate move, guard Austin Reaves accepted a new four-year, $180 million contract—$5 million below the projected maximum—giving Los Angeles additional long-term cap flexibility.
Spurs
The San Antonio Spurs re-signed veteran point guard Jordan McLaughlin to a one-year minimum contract. The 30-year-old averaged 2.0 points and 0.9 assists in 44 games last season and will enter his eighth NBA campaign as the Spurs’ reserve floor general.
The series of moves adds clarity to offseason rosters across Memphis, Los Angeles and San Antonio as training camps approach.
