DENVER — The Denver Nuggets have released veteran big man Jonas Valanciunas, the club confirmed on Thursday, July 9, 2026.
The move cuts short Valanciunas’s stint in Denver and places the 7-foot center on the open market ahead of training camp. No financial terms or roster plans were disclosed.
Valanciunas, 34, owns extensive NBA experience and is widely regarded as a reliable rebounder and interior scorer. He also has ties to New York Knicks president Leon Rose, a connection that dates back to Rose’s days as a prominent player agent.
Denver did not announce a corresponding roster addition.
