Knicks

Veteran guard Jordan Clarkson is returning to the defending champion New York Knicks on a one-year, $3.9 million contract, according to reports from Stefan Bondy of the New York Post and ESPN’s Shams Charania. The minimum deal keeps New York below the league’s second tax apron while preserving much of the bench unit that contributed to last season’s title run.

Clarkson’s production fell in 2025-26—he averaged 8.6 points in 17.8 minutes—but he provided instant offense whenever called upon. This offseason, the Knicks have also brought back Landry Shamet, Jose Alvarado and Mohamed Diawara, with center Mitchell Robinson the only departure in free agency.

Pistons

The Detroit Pistons filled their final two-way roster slot by signing guard Elijah Harkless, Hoops Rumors reported. Harkless appeared in 36 NBA games over the past season and a half with the Utah Jazz and excelled in the G League, posting 25.3 points and 5.0 assists per game for the Salt Lake City Stars. Regarded as a versatile defender, he joins Isaac Jones and rookie Ugonna Onyenso as Detroit’s current two-way players.

Amir Coffey

After seven NBA seasons, wing Amir Coffey is heading overseas on a one-year deal with Hapoel Tel Aviv in Israel. Coffey spent most of his career with the Los Angeles Clippers, averaging 9.7 points in his final season there before shorter stints with the Milwaukee Bucks and Phoenix Suns last year. The move offers the 27-year-old a fresh start with one of Europe’s top clubs.
