The Chicago Bulls have officially signed former Arizona forward/center Tobe Awaka to a two-way contract, according to the NBA’s transaction log.
Awaka, 6’8”, went undrafted last week before reports surfaced that he would join Chicago on a two-way deal. Thursday’s filing makes the agreement official.
The 22-year-old spent his first two college seasons at Tennessee and the last two at Arizona. As a senior in 2025-26, he moved to a bench role for the Wildcats, averaging 9.3 points and 9.1 rebounds in 20.8 minutes per game. His production earned him Big 12 Sixth Man of the Year honors.
Despite limited playing time, Awaka finished third in the NCAA in total offensive rebounds and eighth in total rebounds. ESPN ranked him No. 47 on Jeremy Woo’s final pre-draft board, while The Athletic’s Sam Vecenie listed him at No. 72, calling him the draft’s best rebounder but noting concerns about his size for the center position and a limited offensive skill set.
Awaka is the first player to secure a two-way spot with the Bulls this offseason. The team is also expected to sign former Providence guard Jaylin Sellers to a two-way contract.
