ESPN analyst Brian Windhorst said during Tuesday’s NBA Draft telecast that multiple teams are readying offers for Boston Celtics swingman Jaylen Brown now that the club’s pursuit of Giannis Antetokounmpo has ended.

“What I expect to happen is a bidding war for Jaylen Brown,” Windhorst told the national broadcast, noting that several organizations anticipated Boston might gauge Brown’s market if it failed to land the two-time MVP.

Hours later, ESPN insider Shams Charania reported that Boston has continued to field trade inquiries for the 29-year-old guard. “Even today the team has engaged and listened on trade conversations and offers around Jaylen Brown,” Charania said on the network’s coverage. He added that rival executives believe the Celtics’ openness reflects genuine interest in exploring options, though no deal is considered imminent.

Boston made what league sources described as an aggressive push for Antetokounmpo before the Milwaukee Bucks reached an agreement to send the superstar to the Miami Heat.

Brown is coming off a career-best season, averaging 28.7 points per game while helping the Celtics secure the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference. The Portland Trail Blazers, Atlanta Hawks and Houston Rockets have all been linked to potential bids, and more contenders are expected to enter the mix.
