The Atlanta Hawks are finalizing a deal to obtain guard Aaron Wiggins from the Oklahoma City Thunder in exchange for two future second-round draft picks, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported.

Under the proposed terms, Oklahoma City would receive Atlanta’s 2030 second-round selection and the less favorable of the Hawks’ or Los Angeles Lakers’ second-round pick in 2032, according to Charania.

Wiggins, 27, has spent his entire five-year NBA career with the Thunder, carving out a steady rotation role on one of the league’s deepest rosters. He appeared in 65 games last season, averaging 9.4 points and starting 21 times. During the Thunder’s 2025 championship campaign, the guard contributed 12.0 points and 3.9 rebounds per game while serving as a key reserve.

The move continues Atlanta’s recent pattern of pursuing players seeking larger opportunities. Over the past year the Hawks have added Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Jonathan Kuminga in similar situations. The club also reached a one-year contract extension with veteran guard CJ McCollum earlier this offseason.

For Oklahoma City, the trade brings in additional draft capital and helps shrink a projected luxury-tax bill, ESPN’s Bobby Marks noted. The Thunder already hold the 12th and 17th picks in this week’s draft, while the Hawks own selections Nos. 8 and 23.
