The Golden State Warriors are considering University of Washington center Hannes Steinbach for the 11th overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, according to a June 19 report.

The New York Post described the 7-footer as one of the best rebounders available and noted that his interior presence could address Golden State’s need for front-court depth. Steinbach is regarded as one of the top centers in this year’s class and is expected to be on the board when the Warriors make their first-round selection.

The Warriors hold pick No. 11 after missing the 2025-26 postseason. Team officials have publicly emphasized the importance of improving their rebounding and rim protection, areas where Steinbach has drawn praise during the pre-draft process.

Golden State’s decision makers are expected to conduct additional interviews and workouts before finalizing their draft board.
