The Dallas Mavericks have signed free-agent guard D’Moi Hodge, according to Grant Afseth of DAL Hoops Journal. Although financial terms were not disclosed, the contract is expected to be an Exhibit 10 agreement that will bring Hodge to training camp.

Hodge, 26, appeared in seven games for the Los Angeles Lakers during the 2023-24 season after going undrafted in 2023. He averaged 2.0 points across 5.9 minutes per contest. Last season, the 6-foot-4 guard played in Greece, posting 7.1 points, 1.9 assists and 1.5 steals per game in EuroLeague action.

While long-range consistency has been an issue overseas, Hodge knocked down 35.4 percent of his three-point attempts over 30 G League outings as a rookie.

Dallas now lists 19 players on its offseason roster, including 14 with full guarantees. Hodge will compete for a backcourt slot alongside recently signed guard Dennis Smith Jr. as the Mavericks look to strengthen depth while Kyrie Irving recovers from a torn ACL.

If Hodge is waived and later spends at least 60 days with the Mavericks’ G League affiliate, the Texas Legends, the Exhibit 10 clause would allow him to earn a bonus of up to $85,300.
