Cleveland Cavaliers president of basketball operations Koby Altman said the franchise does not anticipate sweeping roster changes after being eliminated by the New York Knicks in a conference-final sweep.

“Everybody is aligned in where we want to get to,” Altman told reporters, emphasizing that discussions will focus on “adding around the edges” rather than dismantling a core that has produced “five years of sustained success.” He stressed the need to “break through” the postseason barrier without “blowing things up and starting again.”

Cavaliers Guard Addresses Painful Exit

In the final installment of his Andscape diary, Donovan Mitchell said the 4-0 defeat was “a very painful ending,” adding that the 35-point margin in the decisive game underscored the disappointment. “When you have an opportunity, man, and you watch it go past, that’s killer,” the All-Star guard wrote.

Indiana Native Works Out for Pacers

Miami (Ohio) guard Peter Suder, a Carmel, Indiana, native, visited the Indiana Pacers practice facility Thursday for a pre-draft workout. Suder averaged 14.8 points and 4.0 assists last season and called the experience “surreal,” noting that he grew up about 30 minutes from the team’s headquarters. Indiana currently holds no selections in this year’s draft.

Huerter Expected to Be Lone Major Pistons Departure

The team is expected to retain restricted free agent Jalen Duren, negotiate new deals with Tobias Harris and Javonte Green, and exercise its team option on Daniss Jenkins.
