Guard John Blackwell has withdrawn from the 2026 NBA draft and will play one more year of college basketball, opting to transfer from Wisconsin to Duke for the 2026-27 season, according to Chris Haynes of NBA on Prime.

Blackwell spent his first three collegiate seasons with the Badgers. As a junior in 2025-26, he averaged 19.1 points on .430 shooting overall, .389 from three-point range and .859 at the foul line across 34 games (33.8 minutes). He also collected 5.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.1 steals per contest, earning a spot on the All-Big Ten third team.

This spring marked Blackwell’s second consecutive year testing the NBA waters. During last week’s combine in Chicago, he impressed in five-on-five scrimmages with 16 points on the first day, but below-average measurements, including wingspan, failed to boost his draft projection. He is currently listed No. 81 on ESPN’s big board.

The 6-foot-3 guard will be automatically eligible for the 2027 NBA draft after completing his senior season with the Blue Devils.
