NEW YORK — LeBron James will join Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton for a live taping of their video podcast “Mind the Game” on July 16 at the Javits Center during Fanatics Fest NYC, the apparel company announced Wednesday.
The appearance comes roughly two and a half weeks after the opening of NBA free agency. James, the league’s career scoring leader, has not yet revealed whether he will return for a 24th season, remain with the Los Angeles Lakers or sign elsewhere.
“None of us in here know what the future holds,” James said last week after the Lakers were eliminated in the second round by the Oklahoma City Thunder. “I’ll take time to recalibrate and look over the season and see what’s best for my future. And when I get to that point, everyone will know.”
Fanatics Fest runs July 16–19, ending the same day as the FIFA World Cup final at nearby MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Organizers plan to host news conferences with the World Cup finalists on July 17.
The “Mind the Game” episode recorded at the festival will debut July 21 on YouTube, Prime Video and additional platforms. Billed as a multi-day celebration of sports and culture, the event is expected to feature many prominent athletes and industry figures.
