Germany captured the 2025 EuroBasket championship on Sunday, closing on a 6-0 run to overturn an 83-82 deficit and defeat Turkey 88-83 in a showdown between previously unbeaten teams.

Point guard Dennis Schröder scored all six of those finishing points, ending the night with 16 points and 12 assists. Former NBA wing Isaac Bonga paced Germany with 20 points while hitting all four of his three-point attempts, and Franz Wagner added 18 points and eight rebounds.

The victory gives Germany two major titles in three years after its 2023 FIBA World Cup triumph. Across the 2023 World Cup, the 2024 Paris Olympics and the 2025 EuroBasket, the national team owns a combined 21-2 record.

Turkey, seeking its first EuroBasket crown, settled for silver—matching the country’s best result from 2001. Alperen Şengün led all scorers with 28 points, Cedi Osman contributed 23 points while going 6-for-9 from long range, Shane Larkin recorded 13 points, nine assists and six rebounds, and Adem Bona scored 12 points on 5-of-5 shooting.

Schröder was voted tournament MVP after averaging 20.3 points and 7.2 assists and scoring at least 16 points in all nine games. The EuroBasket All-Star Five featured NBA talent exclusively: Schröder, Wagner and Şengün were joined by Lakers guard Luka Dončić (Slovenia) and Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo (Greece).

Earlier Sunday, Antetokounmpo and Greece beat Finland in the third-place game.
