Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr has signed a new two-year contract, ensuring he will remain in charge of the franchise for the next two seasons.
The agreement was reached on May 9, 2026, according to the organization. Financial terms were not released. The deal extends Kerr’s tenure with the Warriors, a post he has held since 2014.
Kerr, 60, has guided Golden State to four NBA championships during his time on the bench. He previously played 15 seasons in the league and won five titles as a player.
The Warriors finished the 2025-26 regular season with a 48-34 record before being eliminated in the first round of the playoffs.
With the new contract in place, Kerr will continue working alongside general manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. as the team looks to retool its roster for another title run.
