Santa Cruz, Calif. — The Golden State Warriors’ NBA G League affiliate has promoted Zach Harris to general manager, the team announced. Harris spent last season as Santa Cruz’s assistant GM and previously held G League posts with the Grand Rapids Gold (basketball strategy coordinator, 2022/23), the Capital City Go-Go (basketball operations assistant, 2018-20) and the Iowa Wolves (intern, 2017).
Noah Robotham, entering his third year with Santa Cruz, moves up to assistant GM. He was the club’s manager of basketball operations in 2024/25 after serving as a coaching associate and basketball operations coordinator during the 2023/24 campaign.
Los Angeles Lakers — The Lakers continue to pursue help on the wing and have identified the Heat’s Andrew Wiggins as a potential target, according to beat reporter Jovan Buha on his “Buha’s Block” podcast. Buha doubts Los Angeles can complete a trade without surrendering a future first-round pick and questions whether a package built around Dalton Knecht, Rui Hachimura and Gabe Vincent would satisfy Miami.
Phoenix Suns — Forward Nigel Hayes-Davis, signed to a one-year deal in July after seven seasons overseas, told The Athletic he is grateful for the unconventional route back to the NBA. “Is it the one I thought about as a child growing up? Of course not. But it’s been fantastic,” Hayes-Davis said while reflecting on his career in Europe.
Los Angeles Clippers — The unresolved endorsement agreement between Kawhi Leonard and the now-defunct financial firm Aspiration remains under league scrutiny as a possible salary-cap circumvention. ESPN’s Shwetha Surendran examined the company’s business model and roster of high-profile investors amid the ongoing investigation.
The Pacific Division figures to stay active as front-office changes take effect and trade talks develop ahead of training camp.
