New York Knicks supporters say they will travel to Philadelphia on May 5, 2026, undeterred by measures the Philadelphia 76ers have taken to keep visiting fans out of Wells Fargo Center.
The 76ers have attempted to limit Knicks backers from buying tickets for the matchup, according to a New York Post report. Despite the restrictions, New Yorkers interviewed by the paper insist they will make the trip and expect to be visible inside the arena.
Fans who secured seats told the Post they intend to wear Knicks colors and cheer loudly, regardless of any hostility from the home crowd. Some said they purchased tickets through secondary markets to bypass the team’s safeguards.
The standoff underscores the longstanding rivalry between New York and Philadelphia sports fans, particularly during high-stakes games.
