HOUSTON — Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James logged another entry in the NBA record book on April 26, becoming the first player to reach 3,000 career playoff field goals.

The milestone fell on his second basket of Game 4 in the first-round series against the Houston Rockets at Toyota Center. James now sits well ahead of Hall of Famers Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (2,356) and Michael Jordan (2,188) on the all-time postseason field-goal list.

Despite the historic moment, the Lakers dropped the contest in Houston. James, 41, finished with 10 points and eight turnovers as Los Angeles’ offense struggled against the Rockets’ full-court pressure.

The Lakers return to Crypto.com Arena for Game 5 on Wednesday holding a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven matchup. Guard Austin Reaves could rejoin the lineup after missing time with an injury, a potential boost for a roster already without Luka Dončić.

James has not committed to playing beyond this season, but his performance continues to anchor a team aiming for another deep postseason run.
