Houston forward Kevin Durant participated in roughly half of the Rockets’ practice on Monday and will be evaluated just before tipoff of Game 2 against the Los Angeles Lakers, head coach Ime Udoka said.

Durant, 37, sat out Saturday’s 107-98 loss in the series opener after sustaining a knee bruise during Wednesday’s workout. Imaging revealed no structural damage, and Udoka described the setback before Game 1 as “hopefully … a one-game thing.”

The coach noted that Durant’s primary hurdle is regaining full mobility. “The pain tolerance is one thing, but actually moving and feeling comfortable doing all the movements is going to be the biggest thing,” Udoka told reporters.

Durant averaged a team-best 26 points per game during the regular season, and Houston struggled offensively without him, shooting under 40% from the field despite attempting 27 more shots than Los Angeles.

Game 2 is scheduled for 10:30 p.m. ET Tuesday at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
