LaVar Ball on Saturday publicly called on the Charlotte Hornets to bring all three of his sons — Lonzo, LiAngelo and LaMelo — onto the same NBA roster.
Speaking on April 18, 2026, Ball said the franchise should “make it happen,” arguing that uniting his sons would create an on-court chemistry no other team could match. The Hornets already employ LaMelo, the 2021 Rookie of the Year.
Ball also delivered what he described as a “startling” message for newly hired head coach Charles Lee. Without elaborating, the outspoken family patriarch warned Lee that the team’s success hinges on giving the trio the chance to play together in Charlotte.
The Hornets have not responded publicly to Ball’s remarks, and no roster moves have been announced.
