Golden State head coach Steve Kerr said this week that Moses Moody’s torn patellar tendon came without additional knee damage, describing the injury as “pretty basic” to repair during an appearance on 95.7 The Game’s “Willard & Dibs.” An MRI showed Moody avoided harm to the ACL, MCL, cartilage and bone, easing the surgical process.
The fifth-year wing has been ruled out for the remainder of the 2025/26 campaign. Kerr indicated Wednesday that Moody and Heat forward Jimmy Butler, who is recovering from a torn ACL, could both be on track for a possible mid-season return in 2026/27.
Bright spot for Gui Santos
Draymond Green pushed back on talk of a “cursed” season during his latest podcast, highlighting Gui Santos’ progress as evidence of positives within the year. Santos, who finalized a three-year, $15 million extension in February, told ClutchPoints he is still adjusting to life in the United States after growing up in Brazil while carving out a rotation role in San Francisco.
Nate Williams’ limited window
Two-way guard Nate Williams did not join the Warriors until after the All-Star break, yet has already made 11 appearances and scored 19 points on 8-of-9 shooting Saturday in Atlanta. Because his two-way contract was signed late in the season, Williams can be active for only 16 games; he has landed on the inactive list in three of the club’s past four contests to manage that limit.
Curry’s next checkpoint
Golden State plans to release the next formal update on Stephen Curry’s left knee Friday. According to The Athletic, the star guard is still working mostly behind the scenes with director of sports medicine Rick Celebrini and has done minimal on-court activity since being sidelined January 30.
