The Golden State Warriors will keep center Omer Yurtseven for another short stint, agreeing to a second 10-day contract that begins Wednesday after his first deal expired overnight Tuesday, ESPN’s Anthony Slater reported.

Yurtseven, 27, appeared in five games during his initial pact, averaging 3.2 points and 3.2 rebounds across 11.2 minutes. Injuries to big men Kristaps Porzingis (in and out of the lineup) and Al Horford (calf strain) created front-court minutes, though Yurtseven recorded his first DNP-CD Monday against Dallas.

Before arriving in San Francisco, the 7-foot center logged 113 regular-season games with Miami and Utah from 2021–24, posting 5.0 points and 4.6 rebounds in 11.8 minutes. He then spent almost two seasons with Panathinaikos in Greece before returning stateside, playing three G League games for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers earlier this month.

Head coach Steve Kerr praised the newcomer during his first week with the team. “I’m a fan of Omer — he’s a very good player, very talented,” Kerr said. “He’s a good passer, he can shoot, and he’s had success in the NBA.”

The fresh 10-day contract covers the Warriors’ next five contests and runs through April 3. Once it lapses, Golden State must either part ways with Yurtseven or sign him for the remainder of the season or longer.

Yurtseven will earn $141,463 during the deal, while the Warriors incur a $131,970 cap hit.
