Denver — Denver Nuggets forward Peyton Watson is on track to play Sunday against the Portland Trail Blazers after sitting out more than six weeks with a hamstring strain, according to league sources.
The matchup at Ball Arena would mark the first time this season Denver has its full roster available. The club has navigated long absences from several key players, including three-time MVP Nikola Jokić, Aaron Gordon, Cameron Johnson and Christian Braun.
Watson sustained the injury during a Feb. 4 loss to the New York Knicks. Prior to the setback, the 23-year-old was in the midst of a career-best campaign, averaging 21.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.6 blocks per game in the 2026 season.
Following Friday’s victory over the Toronto Raptors, the Nuggets hold a 43-28 record and occupy the No. 5 seed in the Western Conference with 11 regular-season games remaining.
