LOS ANGELES — Luka Doncic scored 36 points and the Lakers edged the Houston Rockets, 100–92, on Monday night, stretching their winning streak to six and moving 1.5 games ahead of Houston for third place in the Western Conference.

The game featured 13 lead changes and postseason-level intensity before Los Angeles pulled away in the fourth quarter. LeBron James contributed 18 points, five rebounds and five assists, including a late kick-out to Marcus Smart for a corner three that secured the result.

Doncic has now reached the 30-point mark in six straight outings and needs 11 more three-pointers to break D’Angelo Russell’s single-season franchise record.

Warriors

WASHINGTON — Golden State broke a five-game slide with a 125–117 victory over the Wizards, giving head coach Steve Kerr his 600th career win.

Playing without Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler, the Warriors leaned on Kristaps Porzingis, who finished with 30 points. De’Anthony Melton added 27, and a rested Draymond Green helped control the tempo one day after the team’s scheduled off day.

An unusual sequence featuring back-to-back blind passes to empty spots underscored an otherwise efficient night for Golden State, a club still jockeying for position in the Western Conference play-in race.

Bulls

CHICAGO — Josh Giddey produced his fourth triple-double in five games with 16 points, 15 rebounds and 13 assists as the Bulls routed the Memphis Grizzlies, 132–107.

The performance gave Giddey 12 triple-doubles this season, trailing only Nikola Jokic and Jalen Johnson. Rookie swingman Matas Buzelis paced Chicago with 29 points and five three-pointers; three of his four highest scoring nights have come in the past three weeks.

Chicago remains 12th in the Eastern Conference, six games out of a play-in berth, but a 71-50 second-half surge offered a rare spark for a team seeking late-season momentum.
