Checking In on the NBA’s Remaining 10-Day Contracts
SLUG: nba-10-day-contract-update-march-2026
With Mo Bamba’s 10-day stint in Utah ending Saturday night, only two players are currently signed to active 10-day contracts across the league.
Active 10-Day Agreements
Brooklyn Nets: Forward Grant Nelson — contract ends March 8
Sacramento Kings: Guard Killian Hayes — contract ends March 14
Mo Bamba’s Short Run in Utah
Bamba, selected sixth overall in the 2018 draft, was active for six games with the Jazz but logged minutes in only two. In 19.0 minutes per appearance, both on the road in Philadelphia and Washington, the 7-footer averaged 5.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 1.0 block.
Saturday’s expiration marked the end of Bamba’s first 10-day contract with Utah. The Jazz may offer a second 10-day deal; afterward, they would need to decide between a rest-of-season contract or releasing him.
Details on the Remaining Deals
Hayes, the No. 7 pick in the 2020 draft, is on his second 10-day contract with Sacramento after re-signing last Thursday. The 24-year-old point guard’s current agreement runs through this Saturday.
Nelson, a rookie forward from Alabama, becomes a free agent Sunday night unless Brooklyn offers another deal. In four games with the Nets, the 7-footer averaged 4.3 points, 1.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.3 blocks over 8.8 minutes per contest.
Coach’s Assessment
Nets head coach Jordi Fernández praised Nelson before Saturday’s matchup in Detroit, highlighting the rookie’s size, defensive versatility, playmaking and speed. Fernández added that the team will evaluate its next move after Nelson’s contract expires.
