Veteran center JaVale McGee, who signed with Australia’s Illawarra Hawks last month, is expected to anchor the National Basketball League club on both ends of the floor. “There’s no illegal defense here, so he’s gonna clog the lane,” head coach Justin Tatum told ESPN’s Olgun Uluc. Tatum added that the team will look to McGee for lob finishes and defensive communication.
