The Los Angeles Lakers will face the Indiana Pacers on Friday without LeBron James and big men Deandre Ayton and Maxi Kleber, the club announced.
James exited a 120-113 loss to the Denver Nuggets on Thursday after colliding with Nikola Jokić and falling hard with 2:15 remaining. The team listed the forward with a left elbow contusion and ongoing left foot arthritis.
Ayton is sidelined by left knee soreness. The center logged only the first four and a half minutes against Denver before leaving the court and did not return.
Kleber will miss his third consecutive game because of a lumbar back strain, according to the injury report.
With Ayton and Kleber unavailable for most of Thursday’s contest, reserve center Jaxson Hayes supplied 19 points on 8-for-10 shooting and collected five rebounds.
Indiana (15-47) enters Friday’s game at Crypto.com Arena carrying the Eastern Conference’s worst record and a seven-game losing streak.
