The Minnesota Timberwolves released two-way guard Jules Bernard, the club announced Monday in a press release.

Bernard, 26, had signed his two-way contract with Minnesota last Wednesday after spending the season with the organization’s G League affiliate in Iowa. In 34.5 minutes per game for the Iowa Wolves, he averaged 22.6 points on 42.5% shooting, including 34.6% from three-point range, while adding 6.6 rebounds, 5.1 assists and converting 80.4% of his free throws.

The UCLA product joined the Timberwolves for training camp on an Exhibit 10 deal but was waived before the regular season began. His lone NBA action came with the Washington Wizards in 2023-24, when he appeared in 19 games and posted 3.9 points and 1.4 rebounds in 7.9 minutes per contest.

Following Bernard’s departure, Minnesota has one open two-way slot ahead of Wednesday’s league deadline for such contracts. The team’s other two-way positions are currently held by Rocco Zikarsky and Enrique Freeman.
