MIAMI — The Miami Heat have elevated swingman Myron Gardner from a two-way agreement to a standard NBA contract, completing the club’s 15-man roster, the team announced Thursday.

Agent Jake Cohen told NBA insider Chris Haynes that the new deal spans three seasons. According to the Miami Herald, only the remainder of the 2025-26 campaign is guaranteed; salary for the following two years becomes guaranteed only if Gardner remains on the roster past specific future dates.

Gardner, 6-foot-6, went undrafted out of Arkansas-Little Rock in 2023. He spent two seasons with the G League’s Osceola Magic before signing a two-way pact with Miami last July.

After limited early-season minutes, the 24-year-old has seen a larger role since January. Over the seven games preceding the All-Star break he started four times, averaging 7.0 points and 6.0 rebounds in 17.7 minutes while shooting 47.4 percent from the field, 44.4 percent from three-point range and 71.4 percent at the line.

Although Miami’s roster is now full, the club remains below the luxury-tax threshold and could still add a free agent; veteran guard Terry Rozier would be the likely release candidate if that happens. The Heat have until March 4 to fill the two-way opening created by Gardner’s promotion.
