Belgrade, Serbia — Partizan Belgrade has turned down four “lucrative” buyout offers from unnamed NBA teams for forward Isaac Bonga, Meridian Sport’s Pedrag Saric reported, with Eurohoops cited as well. Club officials opted to keep the 26-year-old German, calling him their most consistent performer this season.
Bonga, who logged NBA time from 2018–22, is averaging 10.1 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.0 steal while shooting .505 from the field, .312 from three and .830 at the foul line in 26.3 minutes across 41 games during the 2025/26 campaign. He is expected to draw further NBA interest this summer if he remains with Partizan through season’s end.
Tanking Under the Microscope
The possibility of teams intentionally losing games has received heightened attention amid projections that the 2026 draft class could be historically strong. “This draft has a chance to be legendary,” one NBA executive told Forbes contributor Adam Zagoria. In response, Yahoo Sports’ Kevin O’Connor outlined a proposal aimed at discouraging tanking, though no formal league action has been taken.
Giannis’ Business Moves Examined
Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo’s investment in the prediction-market company Kalshi does not violate NBA rules but “isn’t a great look,” ESPN.com’s Dan Wetzel wrote. Speaking with reporters Saturday, the two-time MVP said he would “100%” welcome the chance to own a franchise in the NBA’s proposed European league. “If there’s an opportunity that comes across my desk to be an owner in sports—anything—I would consider it 100%,” he said, adding that full NBA team ownership may remain beyond his current financial reach.
