Sacramento Kings guard Zach LaVine will undergo surgery on his right hand after the upcoming All-Star break and is expected to be out for the rest of the season, according to league insider Chris Haynes.

LaVine, 31, has missed Sacramento’s last three games with what the team described as a tendon injury to the fifth finger of his right hand. The procedure will end a challenging campaign in which the two-time All-Star is averaging 19.2 points, 2.3 assists and 2.8 rebounds per game—his lowest production across all three categories since the 2017-18 season.

The Kings enter the break tied for the longest losing streak in franchise history at 14 games and currently own the NBA’s worst record.

LaVine holds a $48.9 million player option for the 2026-27 season, a figure he is widely expected to exercise.
