The Cleveland Cavaliers have reached an agreement to send forward De’Andre Hunter to the Sacramento Kings in a three-team trade completed with the NBA’s transaction deadline fast approaching.

Details of the full package were not immediately disclosed, but the move is designed to give Cleveland additional depth while Sacramento acquires a versatile wing in Hunter. The deal was finalized less than a week before the league’s cut-off for roster moves.

A third franchise is involved to facilitate salary matching and roster balance, according to the report, though the identity of that club and the players changing hands were not specified.

Hunter, 28, is in the second season of a four-year contract and is averaging double-figure points this year. Sacramento expects the former No. 4 overall pick to provide two-way production for a lineup pushing for playoff seeding in the Western Conference.

The Cavaliers, currently fighting for position in the East, targeted multiple rotation pieces in return, seeking additional size and shooting for the final stretch of the regular season.
