The Dallas Mavericks have added forward Jeremiah Robinson-Earl on a 10-day hardship contract, the club confirmed Tuesday at 4:34 p.m. CT.

The agreement had been reported earlier in the afternoon by The Athletic’s Christian Clark, who noted that Robinson-Earl is expected to be in uniform Thursday when Dallas hosts Utah.

Because the Mavericks already carry 15 standard contracts, the deal was made possible through the NBA’s hardship exception, which permits a temporary 16th roster spot when at least four players have missed three consecutive games and are projected to remain out a minimum of two more weeks. Anthony Davis (hand), Kyrie Irving, Dereck Lively II and Dante Exum satisfy that requirement for Dallas.

Injury List Grows

The Mavericks could be further depleted on Thursday. Cooper Flagg (left ankle sprain) and Max Christie (illness) are listed as doubtful, while Daniel Gafford (right ankle sprain) and P.J. Washington (right ankle injury management) are questionable.

Robinson-Earl’s Recent Stops

Robinson-Earl, 25, has logged 214 regular-season appearances with Oklahoma City, New Orleans and Indiana since entering the league in 2021. He averaged 4.6 points and 5.2 rebounds in 17.6 minutes over 17 games with the Pacers earlier this season, shooting 34.9 percent from the field.

Indiana initially added him on consecutive hardship contracts in November, then retained him on a non-guaranteed deal that was later terminated to open a roster slot for Garrison Mathews.

The 6-foot-8 forward rejoined the Mavericks organization—where he spent the preseason—by signing with their G League affiliate, the Texas Legends. In 11 NBAGL contests, he has averaged 19.3 points and 11.7 rebounds while shooting .522 from the floor, .347 from three-point range and .944 at the foul line.

Cap Implications

Dallas entered the day roughly $1.3 million below the league’s second-apron hard cap. Robinson-Earl’s 10-day deal carries a cap hit of $131,970, bringing the club slightly closer to that threshold.
