Spanish powerhouse FC Barcelona has signed forward Miles Norris to a one-year contract, the club announced on August 22.
The move comes less than two weeks after the Boston Celtics waived the 6’9” wing to clear a two-way roster spot for rookie Amari Williams.
Norris, 23, entered the professional ranks undrafted out of UC Santa Barbara in 2023. He spent the first half of the 2023-24 campaign on a two-way deal with the Atlanta Hawks and joined Boston on a similar contract during the final weeks of the 2024-25 season. Although limited to three NBA appearances, he posted strong numbers in the G League last year, averaging 16.6 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 30.5 minutes across 44 games with the Memphis Hustle and Maine Celtics, while shooting .464 from the field, .388 from three-point range and .791 at the foul line.
Barcelona finished fifth in both Spain’s Liga ACB (21-13) and the EuroLeague (20-14) last season, bowing out in the quarterfinals of each competition. Norris joins a roster that already features former NBA players Jan Vesely, Willy Hernangómez, Tornike Shengelia and Tomas Satoransky.
