The Golden State Warriors climbed to 20-18 after Wednesday’s home victory over Milwaukee, fueled largely by their second unit. While Stephen Curry was the lone starter with a positive net rating, all five reserves finished in the plus column. De’Anthony Melton led the bench with 22 points, and fellow offseason addition Al Horford supplied eight points, 10 rebounds, six assists and two blocks. Rookie guard Brandin Podziemski posted a +19, and forward Gui Santos registered a +12.

Both Melton and Horford missed significant time earlier in the season with injuries, but head coach Steve Kerr has recently relied on them to anchor the reserves. “You can see how much of a difference they can make off the bench,” Curry said, noting the pair is still regaining full rhythm.

Green Backs Kuminga Amid Trade Rumors

Draymond Green praised forward Jonathan Kuminga for staying professional despite falling out of the rotation. League-wide interest in the fifth-year forward has been limited—outside of Sacramento—yet sources say the relationship between Kuminga and the club remains cordial, though differences appear unresolved.

Brooks Appreciates Suns Owner’s Vote of Confidence

Asked about owner Mat Ishbia’s public insistence that Phoenix will not trade him, Suns forward Dillon Brooks smiled and welcomed the support. Ishbia recently dismissed a social-media suggestion of swapping Brooks for Austin Reaves, telling fans “don’t bother calling.” Brooks is signed through the 2026-27 season and becomes eligible for an extension this summer.

Sallis Lands With San Diego Clippers

Undrafted rookie guard Hunter Sallis, who appeared in seven games on a two-way deal with Philadelphia earlier this season, has joined the G League’s San Diego Clippers. The Wake Forest product is a cousin of Clippers guard James Harden.
