The Memphis Grizzlies may regain two starters when they visit the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday, as point guard Ja Morant and rookie forward Cedric Coward are both listed as questionable.
Morant turned his left ankle last Monday, only two games after returning from a right calf strain that had sidelined him for 10 contests. The 26-year-old All-Star has missed Memphis’ last four outings because of the ankle injury.
Coward, selected 11th overall in the 2025 draft, is dealing with soreness in his left heel. The first-year forward sat out Tuesday’s loss at Utah, marking his first absence of the season.
Injuries continue to batter Memphis’ roster. The club has already ruled out six other players for Friday: Brandon Clarke, Zach Edey, Ty Jerome, John Konchar, Scotty Pippen Jr. and Vince Williams Jr.
Despite the lengthy injury report, the Grizzlies remain competitive, carrying a 14-16 record through their first 30 games.
