PHILADELPHIA — Dec. 7, 2025 — LeBron James poured in 10 straight points in crunch time and finished with 29, lifting the Los Angeles Lakers to a 112-108 win over the Philadelphia 76ers at Xfinity Mobile Arena.
The 40-year-old forward also collected seven rebounds and six assists in what head coach JJ Redick called the first “real LeBron-like performance” of the season. James missed the opening 14 games with an injury and had been easing back into form.
“I don’t think LeBron needs confidence, but it’s important to be reminded of what you’re capable of,” Redick told Spectrum SportsNet. “Tonight was super important.”
Redick pointed to James’ screening and off-ball gravity as catalysts for the offense, noting that the veteran served as the Lakers’ “connector” while orchestrating second-action plays. The coach added that James’ surge offset an off night from Austin Reaves and helped cover for Luka Dončić, who posted a triple-double but showed fatigue after multiple trans-Atlantic flights for the birth of his second daughter.
James is in his 23rd NBA season, a stint no other player has matched at a similar level of production. Center Deandre Ayton, experiencing a late-game takeover by James as a teammate for the first time, said the scene “felt like a movie.”
The victory capped the Lakers’ road trip.
