Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro is expected to make his 2023-24 season debut on Monday night against the Dallas Mavericks, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.

The 24-year-old has been sidelined since September after undergoing surgery to correct posterior impingement syndrome in his left ankle. The Heat targeted the Dallas game for his comeback roughly a week ago, and Herro has since cleared all necessary practice benchmarks.

Herro returns after earning his first All-Star nod last season and remains a central figure in an offense that has undergone significant changes since last year. Miami enters the matchup at 11-6, riding a streak of nine wins in its last 11 outings following Sunday’s victory over the Philadelphia 76ers.

Tipoff between the Heat and Mavericks is scheduled for Monday at American Airlines Center in Dallas.
