PHOENIX — The Phoenix Suns are bringing in guard Jamaree Bouyea on a two-way deal, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania. The move required an open slot, prompting the team to waive forward CJ Huntley on Monday afternoon.

Bouyea, 26, had been playing for the Austin Spurs in the NBA G League after San Antonio signed and released him on Oct. 18 to secure his G League rights. Earlier this season, Milwaukee cut the 6-foot-2 guard from a two-way agreement.

Since entering the league undrafted out of San Francisco in 2022, Bouyea has appeared in 19 NBA games across five franchises—Miami, Washington, Portland, San Antonio and Milwaukee. He owns career averages of 2.8 points and 1.3 assists in 12.0 minutes per contest.

The Suns originally filled all three two-way slots with Huntley, Koby Brea and Isaiah Livers. Waiving Huntley, a 23-year-old rookie forward from Appalachian State who had yet to make his NBA debut, creates the roster space for Bouyea’s arrival.
