The Cleveland Cavaliers needed nearly three quarters to find their rhythm on Saturday night, but a late scoring explosion from Donovan Mitchell flipped the game and secured a 108-100 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
Down by eight entering the fourth period and having trailed for more than 38 minutes, Cleveland opened the final 12 minutes with an 8-1 run. Moments later, Mitchell drained a three-pointer to give the Cavaliers their first lead since the opening quarter. The All-Star guard went on to account for 18 consecutive Cleveland points, turning a sluggish evening into the club’s third straight win.
Key Numbers
Cavaliers (9-5): Mitchell finished with 30 points, including 14 in the fourth, and added five rebounds and five assists. Evan Mobley supplied 22 points and 13 boards, while Jarrett Allen scored 16. Sam Merrill contributed 13 off the bench.
Grizzlies (4-10): Jaren Jackson Jr. led Memphis with 26 points. Rookie center Zach Edey posted 13 points and seven rebounds in his season debut, and Santi Aldama logged a double-double off the bench. Memphis shot 36 percent from the field and 28 percent from three-point range.

Memphis guard Ja Morant, returning after missing one game with ankle soreness, played six minutes before exiting with right calf soreness and did not return.
