The Miami Heat did not know guard Terry Rozier was the subject of an FBI sports-betting investigation before completing a trade for him, the New York Post reported on Sunday.

The report states that team officials learned of the federal probe only after league approval of the deal that sent Rozier to Miami. Details of the investigation were not disclosed, and it remains unclear whether the inquiry is focused on wagers made by Rozier himself or on a broader betting scheme.

The Heat have not publicly commented on the matter, nor has Rozier’s camp, according to the newspaper. The NBA and the FBI also declined to address the ongoing investigation.

Rozier was acquired from the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for a package that included veteran guard Kyle Lowry and draft compensation. He has not yet appeared in a game for Miami this season.
