Los Angeles Lakers guard Luka Doncic became the first player in NBA history to surpass 390 points, 80 rebounds, 70 assists and 25 steals in any 10-game span, according to market data company Kalshi.
The milestone was reached Monday night when the Lakers’ nine-game winning streak ended with a three-point loss to the Detroit Pistons. Doncic still logged 32 points, seven rebounds, six assists and three steals in the defeat, capping a torrid two-week run.
Numbers Behind the Record
During the 10 contests, the 27-year-old averaged 39.2 points, 8.3 rebounds, 7.3 assists and 2.6 steals while shooting 47.8% from the field and 38.7% from three-point range. He scored at least 30 points in every game, headlined by outings of 40, 50 and a 60-point performance in Miami. Doncic also produced two triple-doubles and collected multiple steals in eight of the 10 games.
Kalshi’s projection model now lists the Slovenian star with a 10% chance of winning this season’s Most Valuable Player award.
Accolades Pile Up
Doncic’s stretch earned him Western Conference Player of the Week honors in consecutive weeks and has positioned him as a leading candidate for Player of the Month. The surge helped elevate Los Angeles to third place in the Western Conference standings.
League Legends Take Notice
Lakers great Magic Johnson, widely regarded as one of the NBA’s premier point guards, called Doncic “the most unguardable player in the NBA today” in a recent social-media post, underscoring the growing recognition of the guard’s all-around dominance.
Los Angeles returns to action later this week as Doncic looks to extend his historic form and strengthen the Lakers’ playoff positioning.
