Head coach Tuomas Iisalo questioned the guard’s leadership and effort following a loss to the Lakers, and Morant’s response—described as inappropriate—split the locker room. While the 26-year-old has not formally requested a trade, he has indicated he no longer sees a clear path with the Grizzlies, according to Siegel.
Siegel adds that the Heat have expressed interest in acquiring Morant. The Kings are also monitoring the situation but would only engage if the price falls significantly, as Sacramento is unwilling to part with meaningful draft assets.
