The Minnesota Timberwolves have reached a four-year agreement worth $9.3 million with rookie guard Isaiah Evans, Michael Scotto of HoopsHype reported.
The contract was completed using the NBA’s second-round pick exception. The first three seasons are fully guaranteed, and the fourth year carries a team option.
Evans, selected 33rd overall in the 2026 NBA Draft, will earn $1.36 million in 2026-27, $2.29 million in 2027-28 and $2.69 million in 2028-29. The team option for 2029-30 is valued at $2.92 million.
The 6-foot-6 shooting guard spent two seasons at Duke, averaging 15.0 points and 3.2 rebounds as a sophomore while shooting 43.3 percent from the field, 36.1 percent from three-point range and 86.0 percent at the foul line. He was named to the All-ACC Third Team for the 2025-26 campaign and converted 38.0 percent of his three-point attempts over his college career, including 41.6 percent as a freshman.
The signing was delayed until a draft-night trade became official on Friday. Brooklyn selected Evans on Minnesota’s behalf last month before the deal was finalized.
