The Phoenix Suns left Paycom Center on Tuesday night trailing the Oklahoma City Thunder 2-0 in their best-of-seven series—and fuming about the officiating.

Dillon Brooks, who scored 30 points before fouling out late, did not hide his frustration. “Y’all should be interviewing the officials,” he told reporters, adding that referees “have to explain themselves because it’s getting ridiculous … they’re just whistling on one side.”

Devin Booker, normally measured in public comments about calls, echoed the criticism. “I’ve been in this league 11 years. For me to even be saying something out loud, it’s bad,” the guard said. “It’s my first time, but it’s needed. Whatever—I’ll get fined for it.”

Booker cited an offensive foul involving Alex Caruso that, in his view, did not match how similar plays are judged elsewhere. “If that’s an unnatural shooting motion compared to what guys are doing to get fouls nowadays, pull the clips, run it back. I’m surprised this is happening on national TV in playoff games,” he said.

While Phoenix focused on the whistles, Oklahoma City kept control of the series. Led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the Thunder have dictated the tempo through the first two games and now head to Game 3 with a two-game cushion.
