The New York Knicks seized a 3-0 lead over the Philadelphia 76ers with a 108-94 victory in Game 3 on Friday, positioning themselves a single win away from the Eastern Conference finals.

Philadelphia welcomed back Joel Embiid, who had missed Game 2, but the reigning MVP finished with 18 points, six rebounds and five assists while appearing limited. “I thought he gave us everything he could,” Sixers head coach Nick Nurse told reporters.

New York attacked Embiid repeatedly, forcing the center to defend in space and testing his mobility. Despite playing without injured forward OG Anunoby, the Knicks’ depth proved decisive: their bench outscored Philadelphia’s reserves 29-11.

Paul George sparked the Sixers early with 15 first-quarter points but misfired on his final nine shots. “Win a game,” George said afterward. “Keep [the season] alive.” He later added, “We’re right there; we’re just not finishing the game.”

The Knicks, meanwhile, continued to close strong. “We’ve got a lot of good guys that are resilient, that are fighters, and it’s showing when they go out there,” New York coach Mike Brown said.

Game 4 is scheduled for Sunday in Philadelphia, where the Sixers will attempt to extend their season and the Knicks will try to secure their second consecutive trip to the conference finals.
