Hetzel and Pelicans head of basketball operations Joe Dumars worked together for four seasons in Detroit, a connection that could benefit his candidacy.
Borrego and Ham Still in Mix
James Borrego and Darvin Ham round out the reported quartet of finalists. Borrego previously served as head coach of the Charlotte Hornets, while Ham led the Los Angeles Lakers before becoming an assistant in Los Angeles this season.
