The Detroit Pistons have designated Duncan Robinson (low back soreness), Caris LeVert (right heel contusion) and Kevin Huerter (left adductor strain) as questionable for Friday’s Game 6 against the Cleveland Cavaliers at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
The team’s medical update, reported by Hunter Patterson of The Athletic, comes with Detroit trailing 3-2 in the best-of-seven Eastern Conference semifinal. The Pistons must win on the road to avoid elimination after dropping three straight games following a 2-0 series lead.
Robinson, 32, was a key factor in Detroit’s early success, averaging 17.0 points, 3.3 steals, 3.0 assists and 2.0 rebounds across 33.7 minutes in the first three contests. He hit at least four three-pointers in each outing and converted 58.3% of his attempts from beyond the arc. Limited by back soreness in Game 4, the veteran managed only four points and two shot attempts in 29 minutes as the Pistons were outscored by 19 while he was on the floor. He missed Game 5, which Detroit lost in overtime.
LeVert has been nursing a heel contusion but has seen his playing time increase during Robinson’s absence or restricted minutes over the past two games. Huerter returned in Game 5 after sitting out a little more than two weeks with an adductor strain sustained in Game 4 of the first-round series against Orlando.
Tipoff for Game 6 is set for Friday night in Cleveland.
