The Detroit Pistons have claimed forward/center Isaac Jones off waivers, the team confirmed Wednesday. The move gives Detroit a full complement of 15 standard contracts.
Sacramento released the 25-year-old on Tuesday to open a roster spot for Precious Achiuwa. Because Jones was claimed, the Kings remove $191,043—the partial guarantee on his 2025-26 salary—from their cap sheet.
Jones is set to earn $1,955,377 this season, but only $191,043 is guaranteed until the contract becomes fully guaranteed in January.
Undrafted out of Washington State in 2024, Jones joined Sacramento on a two-way deal and was promoted to a standard contract in March. He appeared in 40 games as a rookie, averaging 7.6 minutes. This season, he logged 17 total minutes across three contests before being waived.
Jones showed greater production with the G League’s Stockton Kings last year, posting 21.4 points, 9.8 rebounds and 1.1 blocks while shooting 58.0 percent from the field in 16 games.
