The NBA confirmed Thursday that 38 underclassmen have removed their names from the 2026 draft pool, electing to preserve their college eligibility after the NCAA’s withdrawal deadline passed earlier in the day.
Ohio State guard John Mobley Jr. leads the list of returnees. The freshman previously indicated he would be back in Columbus if he decided against staying in the draft.
Other notable college players returning
Several highly regarded prospects will also head back to campus:
- Kansas center Flory Bidunga
- Michigan guard Elliot Cadeau
- Michigan State guard Jeremy Fears Jr.
- Wisconsin guard John Blackwell
- Florida center Rueben Chinyelu
- Iowa State forward Milan Momcilovic
- Kentucky center Malachi Moreno
- Baylor wing Tounde Yessoufou
- Arkansas wing Billy Richmond
- Illinois wing Andrej Stojakovic
International withdrawals
Three overseas prospects also stepped back: Spain’s Bassala Bagayoko, France’s Marc-Owen Fodzo Dada and Greece’s Alex Samodurov.
With the college deadline now settled, the next key date is June 13, the NBA’s cutoff for international players who still wish to exit the draft.
