The Denver Nuggets have completed a standard NBA contract with rookie power forward Trevon Brazile, according to the league’s official transaction log.
Vice president of basketball operations Ben Tenzer indicated shortly after the June draft that Brazile would join the standard roster, so Friday’s announcement formalizes that plan. League sources expect the 23-year-old to receive the rookie minimum salary of $1.36 million for the 2026-27 season as Denver manages cap pressure and future restricted free agency decisions on Peyton Watson and Spencer Jones.
The Nuggets obtained Brazile’s draft rights from the San Antonio Spurs by trading down from pick No. 26 to No. 35 last month, collecting two future second-round selections in the process.
Second-round selections often sign three- or four-year deals through the NBA’s second-round exception, but contract length and other terms for Brazile have not yet been disclosed.
Brazile, a 6-foot-10 forward from Missouri, played one collegiate season at Missouri before transferring to Arkansas. A torn ACL earned him a medical redshirt in 2022-23, but he returned to average 13.0 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.6 blocks over 36 games as a senior in 2025-26. He shot 52.5 percent from the field, 34.1 percent from three and 71.7 percent at the foul line while helping the Razorbacks reach the Sweet 16.
Brazile’s agreement became official shortly before he made his Summer League debut for Denver on Friday.
